Another BIG day for me and dear (: Our 2nd Year Anniversary! Yes it is only our 2nd year; it seems like we've been tgt for so many years..haha.

Our celebration was kinda simple (: High-Tea at Goodwood Park Hotel and we caught the movie "Angels and Demons".

Everything was impromptu. Er hem dear u know why lar huh!?haha.

Well; it was me who chose Goodwood park coz ive read so many positive reviews on it...no one seems to regret going there (: We've nv went for any High-Tea buffet thus we decided to try this out. Initially i wanted to make reservations for Shangri-La's Rose Veranda High-Tea- they have more than 100 types of Teas and a huge range of desserts and hot food! But; they were fully booked even on a weekday =(

[I'm wearing my favourite dress till date; just received it from one of my fav shop AE after waiting for a few weeks..I love it to bits; the cut; the material ; the colours are just so awesome! It is an exact replica to the designer's pc which cost a few hundred bucks! I feel like a princess wearing it (:

[Fried items- not a big spread but each piece was fried to perfection; really]

[Many many types of sandwiches and bite sized savory items] - the savory items are just like pieces of ART...each of them are exquisite and does not just taste great but looks great too! [Smoked salmon]- love it!

[Diff types of cheese]- we didnt touch them at all; i dont like cheese!

[ Goodwood Park is famous for their desserts! Thus they have a really big Dessert Station filled with many types of small sized cakes; tarts; pies etc etc...] The spread is overwhelming!

Our 1st plate: Foie Gras on bread, Ham on hard bread; Salmon with Caviar, Ebiko prawn pastry and smoked ham. It is my my 1st time eating Foie Gras and Caviar; both which are really expensive items... Sadly; my tastebud doesnt agree with the taste of Foie Gras; it just taste so weird >.< ..But the salmon with caviar; smoked salman and the ebiko prawn pastry were really good!

[Dear eating Foie Gras!] 2nd plate: Fried items! I like them especially the fried vietnamese style spring roll and the very long fried item which i dunno what exactly it is. hee.

3rd plate: Portobello mushroom croissant; Parma ham with melon, Tortilla wrap with pepper chicken(on the top), Ebiko Prawn pasty again and the kueh pie-tee lookalike item in the middle: Chicken with Apple and Apricot in Crispy shell- This is my FAVOURITE item; it is SUPPPPEEEER NICEE! Must try! The crispy shell melts in your mouth; overwhelming it with so much taste once you take a bite out of it.

4th plate: Cakes !! From top; clockwise: Fruit cake, rum and raisin pear tart; rum and raisin cake; crunchy hazelnut choc cake Next; taking a rest...from the Dessert Station: Mango soup with pomelo..Mango lovers will sure love this! It is very thick!

Then; time for Hot Tea! Dear ordered Camomile tea for relaxation; i ordered Rose and lavender tee (:

By now...we are both really full and dar was almost puking!! Both of us have really small appetites! But there are still so many items which we've yet to try...so we forced ourselves to get some more food.. (:

Lastly; we got this few from the Dessert Station...from top: clockwise: Strawberry mini fruit tart(dar like this), Raspberry cheescake?, Choc eclair, Lemon meringue(Refreshing!) and "i dunno what is this"..haha..i just took a small bite out of everything..They taste GREAT!

Creme brulee...too sweet!! but those with sweet tooth are sure to fall in love with this. okies...there are still many items we've yet to try..i just wish that we have bigger stomachs >.<>

Next; we watched 'Angels and Demons"- another impromptu decision... (: But; the movie was very very nice i feel!! Though there are so many Catholic terms which i don't understand; it kept my eyes wide open throughout the entire show..A great and interesting suspense movie! (:

Next; we had a simple dinner at Cine foodcourt since it was kinda late by then..I had my favourite pasta- "5 Star Baked fish pasta" ($7++)..worth every cents; serious!!!! this pasta stall can be found in Vivo's foodcourt too..Their standard is really hotel standard; trust me!

Lastly; i love my dear dear and hope we can spend our lifetime tgt doing so many simple and yet fun-filled stuff ......

We have so many years to spend tgt and i thank God for that (: I really enjoyed all my time with you, quarrels along the way did helped make our r/s stronger (: I dun mind quarelling once in a while! hahaha.

For the month of April and May; me and dear hardly went out for dates all due to my exams =(

So, we went to Jurong point last saturday to walk walk since ive no tuitions that day. haha.

1st stop: Ji De Chi Dessert! 1st time patronizing this dessert stall. The hot food items were quite special but nt cheap. =(

[ Sticky rice with real durian fillings ]- it was really sweet and special, not bad imo but must definitely share this with sumbody. The sticky rice skin is really thick! [Yin and Yang dessert]- almond plus sesame paste. I prefer almond paste on its own! I love almond paste!!!
[ Then we had Toastbox laksa for late lunch ]- It's my 1st time trying their laksa after hearing raves about it. Taste was not bad.

GemofDestiny has launched our 11th Collection: "Lovely summer tea party". It consists of dresses, tunics, dresses and accessories perfect for this Summer season.
Credits to dear again for helping with the phototaking and collage making. (: GemofDestiny.livejournal.com has a new look now too. Dear created a main banner and mailing list banner for me (: Lovely!! I did the feedback banner myself; super simple though. haha.

Oh and i was holding on to a cup of "Gula Melaki" ice cream from this newly-opened Ice Cream shop called "Udders" at Westmall! This shop served a variety of Alcoholic and Exotic flavours ice cream .

[Another sweet new top. But it has since been returned to the shop coz it was a wrong item mailed to me =( hahahaha]

[Introducing to you; a very very nice Japanese Melon ice cream; can be found at the newly-opened Japanese store next to Mos Burger in Westmall. It is also served in Kuishin-bo! Really nice and refreshing! I tried the Orange flavour one too and it was equally gd!]

Okies...after updating this restless blog; im going to continue my revision for my last paper which is the toughest one- "International Comparative Perspectives" which will be held on 2nd of June- Dear's bday. hahaha! What a coincidence!!

April updates!

1st up: Lawsonn's 21st bday! It was held at a SUPER BIG and GRAND function room in YCK. Food was great; company was great too. Im sure law enjoyed himself lots (: Hope he can fulfil all the desires of his heart and excel in whatever he do (: It was not only a special day for lawsonn sim jinyang but a great day for the long-lost FM clique to get tgt again (: I enjoyed their company so much. Miss them lots and cant wait for our next gathering in June; after my exams! (: Ooooh btw the theme of the party was PINK! But..law wasnt wearing pink..dots dots.

It is mugging period from now till 2nd June for me! I am having tons of revision classes and i'm really nervous for the exams!! And i'm so looking forward to June because my whole family (with the exception of my brother) will be going for a holiday trip to TAIWAN! It's been ages since we had a holiday; and i've been yearning to go Taiwan for so long! *Cheers* I'm gonna bring back lotsa lotsa goodies; hopefully some items for Gem of Destiny also (:

After my exams; not only will i be going for job-hunting; but also spend some time to expand my online boutique- everything from the designs to photoshoot or to a .sg maybe?! And; i will want to open a real boutique in Haji lane/Far East/Bugis after i earned enough to cover all the start-up costs! I will be my very own purchasing/merchandizing manager also; travelling to different countries to source for fashion ideals; hiring my own staff and if i have the time i will take out some fashion design courses to produce my own label etc etc.Can't wait; like seriously (: Gotta plan it nicely; AFTER my exams!! I need to carve out a future myself; and fulfil my ambition/goal- to be a Business Woman- in the area i love: Fashion (:

But i've got a problem- which kind of job should i go for; right after my graduation? I need ways to earn capital!! I'm not sure as of now! Will be mugging real hard to PASS my exams 1st- that's my priority now!

I miss having fun with all my friends; miss fellowshipping with cgm; miss going out with dear....i have been cooping at home and school since prelims started...

God, give me strength and wisdom ! (:

I had finally finish blogging for those outdated posts which i didnt blog about from April 08 all the way to Feb 09! Yea i cant believe i actually did tat too!It took me alot of time! All i want is to keep this blog alive; to store all my memories so that i won't forget all the wonderful things and people in my life in the future when i become an old hag (: In this brand new year; i hope that i will be more consistent in blogging (:

Had my prelims from 11st March to 14th March 09; i started revision in the beginning of March- stopped going out; tried to study a bit here & there everyday and mugged till 4am for the 1st 3 papers and till 7.3oam for the last paper!!Argh! It was a really stressful period; emotionally; mentally and physically. All the papers are very difficult; a degree is really not easy to obtain. The University of London revisions by both local and foreign professors will commence next week and the real exams will be in May all the way to June; afterwhich i will graduate with "Bachelor of Science in Business Degree(with honors) by University of London". I have to really concentrate on my revisions this few months!!! I must pass all my units and get a degree!!!!!!

15th March-

a big day for me, zen and evans. We are promoted to "Ministy Member". Now; we have upon us more responbilities and im really looking forward to them all (: Happy promotion zen and evans!! (: The cg gave me and zen a stalk of sunflower each!! Love it! And also; i pray that yongling will get well soon!! (:

Met up with dear for dinner @ Bugis on Monday(16th March) as we might not be able to meetup for the rest of the week!

We went to "Ayam Penyat House" along North Bridge road for some indonesian food.

[gado gado- below average; the gravy and rice was soooo little]

[Ayam penyat meal!- ive always love ayam penyat dish for their chicken! this is not bad and i will always remember not to touch the chili for all indo dishes. it can kill; seriously!]

Next up; desserts @ Ah Chew Desserts! I havent visit Bugis for quite sometime; and now Ah Chew desserts have expanded their shop! It is now 2 shops in one; and beautifully decorated with and oriental chinese feel i like! Our 1st trip there although we have heard so much about Ah Chew's desserts!

[Mango sago with pomelo] - the portion is very big but it is too sweet and there is too much coconut; thus a lil disappointed!

[Steam milk with papaya]- it is quite nice although we could have easily replicate it at home- just warm up the milk. haha.

Okay..peektures time..oh i got a new bag after wanting one for soooo long as i've been hibernating at home for sooo long....

Valentine's Day: A day which lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers or gifts.

Me & Dear didnt plan any special plans beforehand as we were both too busy & short of ideas! But but but; the dinner part shouldnt be too slipshod as we are one couple who really love to eat; but ironically- both with small appetite! haha.

It's a Saturday & i had to attend MSM class in the morning; thus i carried a huge bag containing dear's prezzies & went to school; overdressed[no choice man!]. Afterwhich; met dear @ Vivo and caught the movie "A curious case of Benjamin Button". It was a great movie; worth every cents of the $ we paid! I love it to bits! The plot is really fresh & entertaining & of coz Brad Pitt is really good looking! hee.

Roses & cutie bears from dear! Love it; i still get to keep the bears even if the roses wither! Pretty! Dinner time! I did alot of research on buffets & found lotsa raves on Kuishin-bo @ Suntec! We called them to make reservations about 4days before VDAY but it was fully booked! Thus we decided to walk-in although we know that the queue is gonna be damn long; i really want to try the famous CRABS! And truly; we were stunned by the long queue when we reached @ 5.30pm promptly for the Dinner. Words cant describe how long the queue is; but time can- we queued for 3hours!! Yes; a painful 3hrs! The few restaurants beside Kuishin-bo didnt even have any queues! That is how popular it is!

By the time we got in; we were starved! And thus we didnt take many pics. Kushin-bo offers a wide range of Japanese delights. The spread is really huge- many types of sushi, sashimi, fried soft shell crabs, tempura, oysters, teppanyaki beef; chicken; fish; paper steamboat etc etc. The famous CRAB CLAWS are gigantic! You really have to see for yourself ! The biggest crab claw ive ever seen! And the sweetest and juiciest ive ever tested! One special thing is that; they have hourly specials with a repetitive Kuishin-bo Jingle( Dom Dom Kuishin Bo....) whereby they will announce some "special items" with limited quantity every now and then and you have to rush to the counter to get them.

[Huge and superbly delicious crab claws! i had like 11 of it! The meat is orgasmic i tell u. No wonder it is highly raved! People just keep piling on the crab claws and salmon] [Random stuff we took]

[Teppanyaki chicken and beef] - nice; but we couldnt really finish it after stuffing ourselves with crab claws. haha. We managed to get the "Special items" too: Oat prawns & ice cream crepes dessert!

[Their variety of desserts is really huge & mouth-watering! See for urself!] - cheescakes; fruit tarts; mini cakes; mochi; jelly; puff; ice cream; fondue; eclairs; puddings etc.

Next is gift-giving time!

First present: [A Tatty Teddy!] hahahaha.. i wanna give him something which he wouldnt expect. i did a research online & found out tat actually guys hope to receive flowers or bears as a prezzie on VDAY too. Anyway; the Tatty Teddy is too cute; thus dear have to love it no matter wat. hee.

I'd always wanted to try the Lychee Martini cake at this bakery located in Ang mo kio!- the highly raved Pine's garden! And yea me & dear found the bakery today! Before that; we had a really overpriced porridge dinner; must be becoz of the fish. - this stall has got a really long queue which attracted us in the 1st place.

Pine's garden is located at Ang mo kio ave 10; blk 529; #01-2369. It is pretty famous and was featured in the show HDB Tai Tai as well as the Straits Times. We bought 3 pieces of cakes at one shot! Forgot to take pic for the Blackforest one which is the nicest one oso; imo! There are many cherries in the cake!

[Lychee Martini]- a lil disappointed coz i couldnt taste the martini @ all..but there are many lychees inside. it smells really good.

[Brandy chocolate cake]- the chocolate is really thick and nice; a sinful one! haha.

[Dinner @ Manhattan's Fish Market @ Central!]- the platter looks alluring isnt it! but actually; the portion reduced alot! both of us could finish the whole platter this time round !

Chinese New Year 2009

It's the Chinese New Year festive period!! (:

I feel very upbeat this year; eager to buy and wear new clothes! haha.

Everyone seems to be surged with joyfulness; or is it only me. Oh wells; i prefer the CNY mood this year; much more than XMAS 08 though i've always loveeee XMAS.. Peektures time!

Im kinda traditional; always prefer to wear Red or pink or any auspicious colours on CNY..haha. I bought all my clothes online as i really couldnt find one outfit that i like in the malls. Im very maroonish this year!

[Feeling very happy wearing new stuff from top to toe: maroon laced back dress- the extricate lace details is really nice but nt obvious in pics; diamond studded sandals; pink floral frosted earrings; oriental floral bangles set plus new hairdo and new OPI red nail polish!]

December 08-Batam Trip updates!

Ive been wanting to go Batam and yea me & dear went for a short getaway one week plus before his enlistment date as i know we will hardly get the chance after he enter the army! We did all the bookings just one day before we leave as it is a really last minute decision! Fortunately; ive did some research on Batam earlier on.

1st day: Lunchtime @ the hotel itself; using their coupons! The food they sell are all very expensive!

Explored the resort after lunch. Nothing fantastic actually.. Their spa services are super expensive.

Happy dear!!!!!

Stuffs u need to buy when u go Batam is their home made Kueh Lapis, Mandi Lulur(famous body scrub which cost S$1+ each), Authentic or Fake Ralph Lauren Polo (the authentic ones are cheaper than sg and the fake ones are like S$9 for the cheapest), visit their hypermart to stock up on all ur daily neccessities like shampoo, hair wax etc (they are super cheap) and cheap tidbits, eat A&W which is unavailable in sg anymore, drink their famous avocado milkshake where many forum peeps swear by it, tuck into their super cheap seafood and of coz go for their body massage for half a fraction of price compared to sg!!

After that; we took the shuttle bus to Nagoya Hill shopping mall! Shopping time! But...i only bought one top; tats all. haha. Coz the prices for the clothes are not really super cheap and nothing caught my eye.

This is the outside of the mall; there are many pushcarts.

[Had nice coffee @ bistro godiva] Nagoya hill shopping mall is VERY VERY big; we took quite long to finish walking and afterwhich we had to rush to take the shuttle bus back to the hotel! Of coz; we buy A&W takeways!! omg; its been 10+ years since we get to eat A&W again!

2nd day:

Complementary breakfast @ Harris. Many people have reviewed that their breakfast is really bad; and true enough; the sausages have a very weird taste! But there orange juice is to die for!!!!!

Afterwhich we took the shuttle bus to Nagoya again as we didnt get to explore it ytd!

Tried their avocado milkshake but it is very very sweet and taste weird. Sadly; i didnt research on where to buy nice avocado milk shake beforehand..Next we cabbed down to Megamall ! It was way smaller as compared to Nagoya.

Their JCO donuts cost about S$0.60 and we bought a box. Nice!! Wafer and rootbeer float time @ A&W. Reminiscing

our childhood days..

Visited their famous departmental store: "Matahari".

Next; we cabbed to Batam City Square Mall. This mall is filled with hokkien speaking store owners; to our amazement! We left our groceries shopping to Batam City Square as it is the last mall that we will be visiting. I bought like 11 tubs of mandi lulur! Oh my goodness! haha. They have many types; ranging from aloe vera to rose to lavendar to milk to strawberry etc etc and each cost S$1+ !

Lunch @ Texas Chicken! Their chickens are fiery hot!

The highlight for the day; other than searching high and low for Dear's Ralph Lauren Polo was having our fantastic seafood dinner! Oat prawns!

Butter sotongs- i love this so much so much; it is heavenly !!!! 2 thumbs up! kang kong! Fantastic black pepper crab!!

Oh so nice tomato crab!

Look at the spread!! Look at the crabs! Omg i really miss the food! What more; the total bill was about S$20+! SCREAM: so cheap! Last day!! Bye Batam!

Our loots: everything simple; nothing expensive except for dear's very pretty Ralph Lauren Polo !! This kueh lapies are the nicest i've ever had; got them @ Batam City square as recommeded by an online podder. Had a hard time finding the bakery! The original ones are highly recommended! My loots! The small tubs are their famous Mandi lulur!(a scrub which the malay bride use one week before wedding). Their cosmetics are way cheaper than in Sg too though the brands are very limited! Dear's loots; he also got some stuff that he need for army as they are ridiculously cheap.

Our only regret was not having enough time to go for their massage! And if we were to visit Batam again we would choose a hotel in town to save on the cabfare although it is already very cheap. Resorts are more for people who are here to utilise their built-in facilities and are here to rest and relax and not shop in my opinion. (: And also; i will sure go for their massage and eat more seafood!!!! One thing bad is their ferry tics are not cheap. Overall it was a memorable trip as it is my 1st overseas trip with dear; though it is nowhere very far from sg! It is a good place for rest and relax during the weekends. I heard that many working adults escape to Batam during the weekends for a relaxing and cheap massage. (:

We went to Jang Won Korean Restaurant at Mosque St! My another love other than Dim sum is definitely Korean food!!

17th Month Anniversary:

This time, we went to Sakura International Buffet @ Orchard!

We remembered to take more pics of our food this time round! Food spread wasnt really impressive. Their seafood items are normal, not very fresh. There are many sushis but i hardly eat them.

Wanted to try Indonesian food thus dear and i went to this Surabaya Restaurant @ Far East Plaza. The food wasnt very nice; kinda weird. Maybe it doesnt suit our taste. The chili is super spicy! Thats what indonesian restaurant are famous for i supposed!

In Chinatown- We found this little noodle shop along the stretch of foodstalls @ Smith Street. Went in to settle my craving for Steamed Dumplings! Oh yea; i had a new hair cut too! By Kelvin from Anthony's Hair Salon @ Centrepoint. He was previously from Maison Hairmake @ Far East Plaza and very much raved in Flowerpod forum. I would say his skills are really good and he is very detailed! Nevertheless; my bangs looks really toot in the beginning..but it gets better when its longer (:

18th Month Anniversary:

Its our 1.5 year Anniversary! Our next big day to our 1 year Anni! We'd planned to take neoprints on every half yearly anni and so we did it today! haha. Neoprints are memorable keepsake! We are still nt too old for them =p They are really expensive now! $11 per usage of the machine! I love decorating the prints and the flawless-look the lightings give.hee.

November 08 updates:

November was an eventful month; especially with our church Mega Event : "Asia Conference 2008". It was sucha big bang from 19th-23rd Nov 08 @ Expo (:

Delegates from 72 nations including Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, India, China etc etc came to experience our culture and to learn from all the anointed speakers from overseas. Each nights were filled with powerful sermons and impartations of FAITH, exciting competitions to showcase our TALENTS, special performances from celebrities to engage CULTURE and enrichment classes to expand our CAPACITY. We all went excited for the anointing regardless of the hours of queuing and really big crowd!

I was one of the finalist for the Fashion Fiesta competition held on the 21st. After weeks of practices; days of materials scouting trips; hundreds of dollars spent; lates nights till 4am to do the costume;lotsa pain caused by the sewing needle........my efforts did not go down the drain (: Managed to clinch the 2nd Runner Up with $300 Heeren Vouchers (:

The process was gruelling but also satisfying; i learned alot; grew alot (: Happy that i can excel abit in something i love; something which ive so much passion about: Fashion!

I love dimsum!! Tried lotsa dimsums before; this day Dear found this highly raved Dim Sum restaurant online and we decided to head there for brunch! Yummy!

[Very traditional setting and ambience. Dimsums are served on push carts liked those traditional Dim Sum restaurants]-There isnt any menu for u to choose from. Thus u have to stop any waiters passing by with the push carts.

A simple day at Vivo City.

Filled our empty stomach at White Dog Cafe; yet again tempted by their lunch deals.

Their setting and ambience is top notch- theres the sentosa view. Me and dear always feel very lazy and sleepy @ White Dog cafe coz its too comfortable. But the food quality is rather simple; in my opinion; portion is small too!

20th May 08: 1 Year Anniversary

This is our super big day! 1 year of ups and downs and so much love. This 1 year is gonna spark off more and more yearly anniversaries for us (: On this special day; we decided to have a dinner buffet at "Carousel" located at Royal Plaza Hotel after lotsa raves on some forums! We were so excited and hungry that we only took a few pics of the food and ourselves. Thus some pics here were taken from some website (:

Carousel exudes an aura of excitement and delight that an evening of superb cuisine, fine wine, and elegant surroundings can provide. Be mesmerized by the enormous spread of seafood and expect succulent and tender flesh. [@ Royal Plaza Hotel Lobby]- so very full by then. Burps! Overall; it was a really nice experience @ Carousel. Firstly we were impressed by the service of the waiters. They were really efficient in clearing our plates and replacing our utensils as the plates pile up easily! And there were heaps of food selections but it can be better (: If u love fresh seafoods(with no additional flavorings), sashimis and desserts- Carousel is definitely a place u would love. Price per pax is about $47 for dinner. In my opinion; for hotel buffet spread- i wun patronize more than once as i wanna try out more hotel buffets!! The next one i would love to go to will be "Ellenborough Market Cafe" at Swisshotel! - 2 year anniversary maybe? (:

Starting 2008 with a BANG~

Hey peeps =) Im here to update..it's been ages i know.haha. I'm busy; and LAZY!

I'm a happy girl. Happy with my life and such. I've started playing guitar for CG =) It was a stepping stone for me. Has played for 3/4 times till now.I'm still learning!Really Thank God & Jacq for the chance! Of coz, thanks Dear for his guidance and his patience!Without him; i would hv been so lost!!=)

N194 has moved back to JW church as the church is growing; we need to move to provide more ways & space for growth in Expo and JW =) Well, i like it as JW is much nearer than Expo =p I love JW church!!!

I spent the first Christmas with Dear tgt =) We've spent lotsa time tgt this past 8+ months!I really enjoy and treasure his presence lots lots. Darl; thanks for being sucha BLESSING and JOY!

BTW, ive changed a new hairstyle!!Was with a Asymmetrical Lopsided hairstyle before that..Im having bangs and a short soft bob now (think Angela Zhang's new hairstyle). Just dyed my hair Subtle Red last Thursday; and and and i've put some Red extensions as highlights Today! I look different! Still getting used to the bangs and the very dark red(ive had light coloured hair for veryyy long). My mum love my new haircut. Im still finding ways to volume my crown to make it more like Angela's. My hair's so flat and thin!!ARGH.Will upload my pics another time =)

Lazy , spastic . Dinner at a posh and classy Spanish Restaurant @ Chijmes.(forgot the name!)The ambience is lovely and romantic. I guess we paid more for the ambience then the food. They had candle-lighted tables. The lighting was dark and red!Couldnt read Spanish that well..haha. I ordered some Duck meat Tapaz which ive been craving; but not that gd though. Darl had some Bacon thingy.The potato with mushroom thingy rocks =) Alcoholic beverages during Happy hour were kinda cheap! We had Magarita!

Woos. Almost two months since i've last blogged. Busy busy busy & lazy. Gonna commit to blog at least 1 blog/month. My memory is getting worse! Shall just post some special stuff..

2 weeks ago: We had a special guest Nick Vujicic in service. He is special not because he is a new guest to us; but physically special too. He is a GREAT MAN of God; who was born without limbs. He is also an encourager; an inspiring and motivating man who is full of zest for LIFE. He love life and treasures life and maybe even enjoying life more than most of us. Last Friday: Celebrated Val's 20th bday which falls on September 11. Went to Earle Swensen @ Vivo. My 2nd time there.heehee.. Had my fav crayfish pasta again! The salad buffet was reallllyyy GOOD! But overall; the food is a tad expensive.

Next up was Daughtry's Concert at St James Power house!! Super lucky Dear won 1 pair of tix ! And yea my 1st time gg to a concert. Man...there were so MANYYYY pple. The queue goes all the way round the whole of St James!!! Thank God we were in a special Samsung queue =) My heels were killing me while waiting for like 1hr! It was another round of waiting after we got in. The pub was too small to occupy all the pple so many were turned away.. Damn squeezy inside.. After 6 songs; i felt some discomfort and nausea and quickly tell dear and i blacked out for a few seconds! Thank God i didn't faint; my vision just turned pitch black and i tried my best to squeeze through the crowd like a blind woman..Thank God i had dear with me man.. I'm like so weak -_-. Must be the empty stomach and the horrible CROWD and the painful heels.. Phew. Went outside to rest and saw FM98.7-the funny MUTTONS. It was still a rather cool experience; minus the crowd; the body discomfort and the long queue. =)=)

But it was a step of faith; and a gd experience. I dun think i did well but i did my best =) I must really sow time to practise my guitar more often =)

I took up Bridging AMATH & ECONS class in SIM(needed for exemptions)
And i failed the tests. Retook the classes. Next exam in Late August.
I will officially pursue Bachelor Degree in Biz (UOL) in SIM tml.
SIM uses our hard-earn money to build escalators.
Am now a part-time tutor with 4 assigments. So, i'm even busier!
I'm 20 on 30-June!

Have to start practicing my guitar.

HAPPY LABOUR DAY.

Im not mia-ing; just super duper lazy to blog. Ironically, i have more free time now but even lazier to blog. Changed my blogskin 2days ago and put in all the songs im loving! Hee..well im not really loving the 1st 2 songs; but i put them here coz they contain my name!Hahas. Right now i'm loving FOB's Thnks Fr Th Mnmrs, Daughtry's Over You and Linkin Park's What I've Done. & i love listening to John Vesely(Secondhand Serenade) play the acoustic guitar. It's a wave of familiar feeling. GUITAR GUITAR!!!!!

Today is a day filled with WARMTH coz its FAMILY DAY Celebration @ CHC! Sun came & held a concert in Expo Hall. The programme flow was so amazing..many segments really touched my heart. I know i will feel very loved if im in the 20000+ crowd in the hall; but i was serving in nursery. Even in the nursery room; & just by watching the 3hr celebration cum concert; i can feel the vibrant atmosphere & so much warmth lurking around today! (: Very nice day; i see happy families everywhere. I was very happy to see sinee coming for the carnival and the concert too (: & even happier when she said she can feel the warmth & that the ushers touched her by asking her to go into the hall frm the entrance whereby only those with passes are allowed into. (: Sinee; im very happy to see u today, just wan u to know you are very welcome to all our events yea! (:

OK. 20th April is a date worth remembering. I received a call from Church. *DRUMROLL*..... I GOT INTO MAKE UP CHALLENGE FINALS!!!!WOOHOOS. I was really really HAPPY. Outta more than 40 participants, 10 got into the finals. PRAISE GOD! He has been wonderful; He was there to calm me down; give me peace & guide me through the 1hr Prelim Round smoothly. (: (: I got to attend Make up Crash course every tues & sat for a period of 4 weeks!!Aww. & it clashes with my Tues's AMATH class. *BIG HEADACHE* Anyway, the theme for the finals is "Psychedelic 70's". We had to come up with our final Costume Design & Makeup last Saturday

& i spent 3 days receeing Town & Bugis for ideas. On Friday night; i did some more research & drew until 4am. In the end.....my idea somehow got rejected coz they think its too colourful. Thus i had to make some changes & such. Sat in the Artiste Room flipping thru mags after mags..but i was so stressed & brain dead & i couldnt come up with any inspirations!Not one at all. Well; actually i was kinda dejected coz i took so much time to do research & design. SIGNS. For 3hours there; i hardly spoke & kept staring into space with a deep deep frown. The feeling sucks. In e end; i hastily drew a design just to show them again. But....they came up with another design for me; the retro "Jumpsuit" design. I seriously dunno whether to be angry or relieved coz they made me rake my brain for 3hrs under a stressful environment & in e end i cant possibly say NO to their idea.

My Initial Design which i LOVE so much. Butterfly satin wings with a long flowy flap behind; those wedding gown type.

& this is the 70's Jumpsuit Idea they gave me..& i guess this is the finalized design. SIGNS. I have to make it from scratch & i seriously dunno where to get the fabric & how am i going to do it! SIGNS. The bottom is those super big belt bottom look-alike.I'm quite stressed..coz i have no confidence in doing this Jumpsuit...SIGHSSSSS.... I'm afraid it'll be unglam. BIG SIGHS.

Today is the last day of submission for "Script Writing".
The script should be written on any of these themes listed below; with at least 6 characters, 3-5 scenes:
1.Modern or Local adaptation of a fairy tale e.g., Sleeping Beauty, Ugly Duckling, Little Red Riding Hood, etc
2.An adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s plays
3.A story for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day
4.Moral issues e.g., Abortion, Euthanasia, Abstinence, etc.

I did alot of beforehand preparations. LOLS!I think I'm well-versed in Shakespeares's plays now as i went to the library & borrowed his Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew & A Midsummer Night's Dream. After reading them; i gave up the idea of choice number two. -_- Also, i spent 1hr in the Kids Section in the library reading Fairy Tales. & i feel they are too absurd; hard for modern adaptation. Well....i choose to write a story for Mother's Day instead. I rushed it out in a very short time today coz i didnt have enough time. So it isnt really up to my expectations yet.

Title: “The Three Words”

1st Scene: In the living room.
It is 9am in the morning. Door opened. Ruby enters into the house, reek of smoke and alcohol.
Mum puts down her newspaper, stormed to the door. *SLAP* She slaps Ruby hard on her right face.

Still in shock; Ruby puts her hand on her burning cheek and shouted: “What are you doing!” Her cheek was hot & painful.

Mum: “What time is it now!? Where in the world did you go? Must be out with all those bastards-so called friends of yours am I right? Now what, what did you steal, who did u beat up, what hanky panky have u done? Don’t come home saying you are pregnant one day, I don’t have such daughter!”
Ruby: “ENOUGH. I have no such mother like you. I HATE YOU.”
Mum: “Fine”
Mum stomped into her room, closing the door behind her with a loud bang.
Grandma who was in the living all along went up to Ruby; put her hands on her trembling shoulders and led her to the couch.
Grandma: “Aww..darling..shush. You know how agitated your mother gets whenever she is worried for you.”
Ruby(in sobs): “Nah..she has never worry about me. When did she ever care for me. I hate her; I really hate her.”
Grandma: “Now..don’t say that ever again. Your mum does love you. She stays up through the night in the living room; just to wait for you.”
Ruby(unconvinced): “Like I care.”
Grandma: “Well, darling, let Granny tell you about my mother; your great grandmother.”

FLASHBACK…………..

2nd Scene: Outside a convenience store
One time we went out for ice cream, and as we walked out the store and across the road, I accidentally dropped my cone. For a 5 year-old kid, dropping a cone is just like losing a precious thing in life. I burst out crying in tears. According to the traditional “mothering” rules, my mum; your great grandmother could have offered me hers or buy me another one or do anything to make me feel better. Instead she looked at me, then at the melting ice cream cone on the black asphalt, and threw hers down next to it.

Taken aback, I stop crying for a few seconds, look down at the two melting ice cream cones and then cry even harder. I couldn’t understand what my mum is doing. I think she is crazy and I don’t like her.

3rd Scene: In living room
Your great grandmother is a tough woman. She is not one of those huggy, kissy mothers. She is stoic and strong. She don't cry and she don't say, "I love you."

One day. I stomped into the house, mad.

Mum asked. “Why aren't you outside playing with your little neighbors?"
"Daisy and Peter are being mean to me! Go scold them." I cried.
"You get back out there and take care of that yourself," she said, almost contemptuously.

White-hot tears stung my face. I turned and marched out the door.

Mum went back to her housework.

In my mind; I thought: “She doesn’t care! I hate her”

The next morning; I woke up and found a note on my table. Mum wrote: “In my dream last night; I stole Daisy’s favorite Barbie Doll and Peter’s favorite Red Ranger and hid them under the flowerpots. See, I helped you get back at them!”

Though it is only a dream; I smiled.

4th Scene: In the hospital then living room.

My dad, your great grandfather suffered a stroke when I was 18 and passed away. My mother and I were devastated. The family totally crashed. Mum busied herself with work everyday to ease the pain of losing my dad. She was hardly at home. The house gets quieter as time pass by. We hardly talk and drifted apart.

At adolescence stage, I was easily influenced by my peers and started smoking and clubbing at the popular hangout places till late almost every night.

My last memory of my mother is not clear at all because I was drunk after a friend’s birthday bash.

It was past midnight. I staggered to my bedroom; like always and plopped comfortably on my bed. I was half asleep when suddenly I saw my mum appeared at my bedroom door. She never, ever, came to my room, especially late. So why this night of all the nights of my life? She wasn't mad at me for getting home late or reeking of booze or slurring my speech. She stood there in the doorway looking at me; smiling.

I would have forgotten it by morning, but for one unanswerable question that has persisted for 42 years since that night:

Did my mother come to see me because she somehow knew that she would die that same day in an accident?

BACK TO THE PRESENT………

5th Scene: Back to living room at 1st scene
Ruby’s eyes turned red.

Grandma: “It was all too late when I start to think back and finally understand that all things which my mum has done for me in the past were actually for my own good.”

“It was only after she’s gone then I realize how much I love her but I’ll never get the chance to tell her that again. I pray the same thing over and over to God everyday thereafter. ”

“If Roses grow in Heaven,

Lord please pick a bunch for me,

Place them in my Mother's arms and tell her they're from me.

Tell her I love her and miss her, and when she smile,

place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.

Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day,

but there's an ache within my heart that will never go away.”

Grandma: “Today is Mother’s Day, one advice I can give to you is to treasure your mum, honor her like how the Bible taught us to Honor Your Father and Mother.”

Ruby wiped away her hot tears and said: “Thanks Granny, I know what to do.”
Then she picks up a piece of blank paper and a colored pen and started writing:

“Once upon a memory

Someone wiped away a tear

Held me close and loved me,

I’m sorry for all that I’ve done

Thank you, dearest Mummy & I LOVE YOU.”

Then she slips the piece of paper into her mum’s bedroom.

THE END

That's the script i've written. Im supposed to write a short one. "Humor" is one of the criteria for judging. Kinda hard to put in humor into a Mother's Day story which usually is supposed to touch hearts. (: (: Please give me some comments yea.Thanks people!

And YEA. My pay is here! & So i'm gonna dye my hair tml; like FINALLY! & gotta go Arab Street on Thurs to check out the fabric for my costumes. SIGH. & so finally; after talking about going to Mind Cafe for like 1 year; my wish is fulfilled today. AWESOME FUN.

Most of us hav deprived childhood.. Our eyes sparkle @ the sight of the toy crocodile. You know; the one which bite your finger if you're unlucky. Ya..so thats our 1st game. Taking turns to press down the teeth of the crocodile. The one who gets bitten 3 times have to do forfeit. It must be Friday the 13th..coz i'm the unlucky one. For my 3rd time; we finished pressing all the teeth except the last one & that was my turn..Sobs..my finger hurts!!

& so i had to do a forfeit. They made me choose one from one of the forfeit board. All 12 of them were like so funny i couldnt stop laughing..& i was spoilt for choice la.haha.

In the end, i chose number 6: Perform "Michael Jackson's Moonwalk". & AWWWWWW my way thru!hahahahahaahahaha.....hella funnyyyy. Qiu's got a part down on video but i dunno how to upload here!hahaaas..

Next up was Jenga-The truth/dare Uno Stacko game. Each piece of stacko contains either a dare/truth. Didnt really follow the rules coz we will take a long time to play this if we do everything written on the stacko. They keep trying to sabo me :( :( :( not fair not fair..But in end end; Jeffrey lost!hoho..his dare was to use his tongue to touch his nose. Haa..no kick leh.

Then, it was "Granny Apples". hoho i kept winning!

It contains small pieces of apples, worms etc . We had to shake them like dices & the faster who can count how many apples appear on the table get the points. We've got full apple, half apple; apple pie. If there's a worm; you have to minus 1 apple coz it eats e apple. If there's an apple pie; you have to minus 2 apples coz 2 apples make 1 apple pie! This is a test of your mental calculation man! Fun & really cute (: My favourite!! "True Colors".Oh i kept wanting to sing Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors"...i see your true colours...lalalalalalal...

Each of one get one coloured peg to represent ourself. We have to get 2 cards of each colours-green, red, purple,blue,black,yellow. Each color represent one of us. Mine was purple. We've got a deck of cards containing tons of questions. There are many different questions on the card. for eg. "Who is the richest here?". Each of us then have to cast 2 votes using the coloured cards; based on the players' respective colours. Each of us also have a " plus, plus minus, zero" cards each. So after all the votes are in; we have to show "plus/plus minus/zero" to predict the results.. A "plus" means that you predict you'll get the most votes. & if thats really the case; you'll get the most point.

MY PASSION: DANCING. yes..i've been talking about gg for dance classes since donkey years ago. I dun wanna let this passion fade away..Gonna check out O'school classes timing!

& yes gonna get my GUITAR very soon when i get my pay!(: i've been practicing with the super old & dusty out-of-tune guitar in my living room this few weeks. Yea..made my siblings pull their hair but all is good. Coz...my brother who had slide away from God for a long time started singing a worship song out of the blue few days ago..I was....stunned & touched at the same time. I might just have been sowing a seed in his life by playing those out-of-tune chords. I will keep trying (: My God is almighty.

Am gonna use whole of next week to prepare for my Emerge items..(:

Like the fourth time!?

The fourth time it rain cats & dogs while i was out having my break; & thus i have to run across the traffic light under the pouring rain & walk one big round from JEC to the MRT station then back to JTC complex. IT's REALLY ONE BIG ROUND. I rmb; the previous time the rain was so heavy i had to buy an umbrella...but i can't possibly keep buying umbrella everytime i got caught in the rain. -_- Now; whenever i see the sky turn grey during break time; i would be like:" Man, do i hav to buy an umbrella; like again?"....

YAHOOS! Like finally; bible study resumed today!!On e way to BS; i bumped into LING!!Miss ya so much la ger! (: Went to Vivo to grab the Chili Cheese Beef fries from my fav SUPER DOG! =D=D It's been long since i step into a Mall...I love Vivo!

& I'm a happy girl today!Why why?? Bumped into "Mr 9 eyecandy" @ Riverwalk! He was with my friend again. Man; like so fated lar....!!My eyes almost rolled out. Shao liang was with me; so i think im in deep shit. hahas. God; you are so cute lar. Ok; snap back to reality.

I personally feel that the way i connect to God is thru a charismatic style. I feel His presence the strongest whenever i'm in prayer meeting, services, during praise & worship; when im in a grp/congregation. I love to soak in His presence. & i get the most revelations out of bible study. Today's lesson was about "Seven Erroneous Faith teachings". Hmm....some parts were kinda complicating & hard for me to understand; but i received lotsa anoitings thru the word!Will pen it down when i sort out those many different revelations. The bs teacher was super funny i tell ya!

Hmm..i don't know why...but i got down @ Outram Park on my way home. Just suddenly got the urge to go there. But when i reached; i immediately regretted doing that. The 1st thought that came to my mind was: "how i wish i'm not alone". Frankly speaking..ever since i started work & classes in SIM; i've stop going out with friends; thank God i still get to see my cg members on Weekends. Just know; i just feel....so lonely. Where are all the fun i used to have esp with N194 ?? Pool, mahjong, chevrons, tonning sessions, movies, dvds @ my house, guitar practices, ban mian @ jw church, town...... I guess everyone's getting real busy as we move on to different phases of Life; & that applies to all my other friends too...I miss everything & i don't wanna believe that "Change is the only constant"; though i know it well that it is true.

I'm someone who yearn for tons of companionship. I need both quality & quantity time with friends. Many might say quality time is more impt than quantity; i personally feel that it doesnt apply in every situations. I think they are interrelated. Sometimes; it just needs quantity time to become quality time; aint i right. Hmm....am i too demanding or what? But truthfully; it's only when i'm with people; that i don't feel lonely. Haa..am i like deprived of love or what?

All i know is i nd people who are willing to go along with my sudden crazy ideas. There are; but only a few in my circle of friends. I havent been laughing my heart out since 1 month ago..I miss laughing; i miss late night chillings; i miss LIFE; i really do!I suddenly feel that i'm "friend-less" & i wanna stop thinking this way!!!!I nd some fun..i nd to laugh to my heart's content.

"Holy laughter"....I had been wondering & wondering. Why are so many people filled with so much joy under the power of God during Benny Hinn's crusade while i'm not? Instead; i cried so much..so hard..there are so much tears. I could still cry towards the end. I don't understand why...Just why?? Is it a faith problem or what?W.H.Y?

BOOS~

I'm like forever late for work!No matter how hard i tried; i will always reach at 9.15/9.20am. hahas. Break company's record. Well well well i don't care~ Cozzz! This week will be my last week at JobsDB/88DB. No way am i gonna extend my contract again. I'm super happy...but i know myself well that i will complain about being jobless next week; since school will start officially in August. hahas. Gonna get my pay on 28th!YAHOO! This time round; i can have all e money to myself! I used all of last month's pay for Bridging Course Fees! ~.~

AWESOME WEEKEND i tell ya. Mighty healing evangelist PASTOR BENNY HINN held a HEALING CRUSADE in S'pore Indoor Stadium on 13th,14th & 15th April. It was miraculous. Pastor Benny came 2+ years ago; just before i came to church! This year is my 1st time seeing him. I joined the powerful strength of 1000 choir to help minister. I was so excited!! We have to go to SIS 3hrs earlier & practice. A completely different feeling compared to be in the audience seat. I love all the songs!!Especially ADONAI!But we didnt sing this :( I like Days of Elijah & Lord God of Abraham too (: OH ya..there were many people from many different countries, The stadium wasnt big enough to accommodate all the people; there are people who travelled so far to come for this crusade but wasnt able to get in. I feel so lucky to be in choir; seriously.

Just by one sweep of his hand(assumingly.i didnt see it coz my eyes were closed); the whole choir fell in the presence of God. I feel the intangible presence of God so so strong when i reached up my hands. I mouthed "Papa" & i felt a pair of invisible hands clasping my open palms. It was sucha wonderful feeling..I just kept crying & crying. & I receive so much anoitings from Pastor Benny just by being in the choir. I'm so gonna join it again nxt time! Pastor Benny have promised to bring the choir people to ISRAEL in november! WOOTS. Have to start to save $ now!HAHAS!

Many sick people were healed; tumors gone; pain gone; the lame walked; the deaf hears; the dumb speaks & many many more. Signs and wonders happened & we all see it with our naked eyes. The impartation of faith was so much! My faith has increased ALOT ALOT. Never take God for granted; he love us so much he bear our sins on the cross & by the stripes; he healed us of all sickness. I believe that the life of all unbelievers who went to the Crusade must have took a big change. I pray with all my heart that all the signs & wonders they see will really touched their hearts. I myself was so touched that i kept crying when i saw the people get healed; how the grandma & the lady undergoing radiotherapy kneeled down &amp; thank Benny Hinn; how the mainland people cry & ask for more anoitings..(:

I went for 2 nights & now i feel a renewed spirit & the fire of God in me is burning stronger than ever before. (: TRULY PRAISE GOD!AWESOME WEEK. I sense a breakthrough in my spiritual life. (:
