reminiscing.....happy ending....missing everybody..
Suddenly have the urge to blog after viewing sum of the SC's blogs...they make me cry like mad!!I really miss bAoc alot alot!!I've alot to say.Since i got the time now, i shld spend sum time updating abt bAoc. I really miss everything n everyone. =(
April 20th marks the official ending of bAoc'06. It's a happy ending for *Fanatical Masquerade*. We clinched the "Best OG"!It wasn't a dream!
Starting 1month plus ago, we came out wif designs for banner,flag,ids, performance, cheers, mascot scouting, painting, cutting,dancing, drawing bla bla bla..n then cum the 2 days before bAoc for us to put up our deco for exam hall n convention booth. It was hard..but we managed to complete it.Our exam hall deco looks stunning!Thanks for the guys for climbing up so high to tie the banner,curtains etc..Chiong the convention hall booth deco at e very last min, so tiring..N then the actual 3days came..was quite shocked at 1st when i realised our tee became maroon color, we were told it was purple...kinda loss for words la, coz we did our deco according to purple color...but well nvm..maroon is gd too =)
We booked a room to ton over in sch frm 17th to 19th....but its nt under BA..The few of us, me, jero, bren,lawsonn,yixiu,steph,shiyin,sherman,hadi,soo boon stayed over...Almost every nite we had supper at Al Ameen..We really bonded..we had so much fun tgt though we were so tired..We sleep tgt, eat tgt, *bath* tgt, *snore* tgt..arrgh...bren n jero really super bad la...exclaimed so loud infront of the freshies n SCO : "Ruby, i really nv tell pple u snore!"...AAAAHHH!so paiseh la...i nv snore la, its just difficulty in breathing coz my nose get stucked everynite..LOL..they even record it down..peng la..luckily lawsonn n jero oso snore..lol..Oh..we even chiong all the cheer booklets late at nite...punched holes, tie strings...n oso did massage for one another..each n everone's body was aching like mad...i can practically feel my bones breaking..haha..for the last nite of ton-ning which was the nite before last day of bAoc...shiyin, steph, yixiu n lawsonn surprised the 3 of us wif sumthing...they did a long clip for the 3 of us...i was super super touched..looking at the pics of us, the words they have for us, the days we went thru bla bla bla...tears just sprang to my eyes...jerome cried like a baby..lol..hhaa..OMG..i love them to bits!!!!Admist all the busy days, they're still willing to spend sumtime doing the masterpiece for us...U guys r really the BEST!!!!!We r so fortunate to have u all as our SCS!!!!!Thanks ALOT! We had a emo heart to heart session in our bunk...Lotsa tears n sincere words...I will really miss everthing..Guys, rmb wat i say, we are not only an OG grp who come together to accomplish sumthing, we are frens, or even BEST frens!!The bond we have can never be interfere by ath or anyone. Our journey will keep going n going on...especially the few of us...=)
.For the 1st day, me n bren stayed at exam hall waiting for freshies to arrive. We were both super tired..We did sum intro of ourselves n bAoc, played concentration game n "cat & mouse" n teach cheers..Almost cheered my lungs out..hai..At the same time, we were scouting for potential dancers n pageant pple. Chose Claire n Arthur. One has the looks, n one has the charisma.Lovely. After everything..We went to find the dancers. Did sum audition for the dancers..quite hard to choose man. Taught them for quite some time..n then we had debrief. We just fell asleep on the straw mat provided by peiying while waiting for the debrief to start.
For the 2nd day, it was Sports day. Stationed at my *Minesweeper* station wif bren, jero,kris,shimin. Had a gd time playing wif the water guns.hahas. But the station was quite screwed up, the classes list weren't in the right order, we had like so many classes at a time n dunno which one was supposed to be here n which one weren't. Chaotic man, n all ur clues were messed up. Had a hard time. So scary...Was so relieved when everything was over. Then we had cheering session at the sports complex, celebrated Qiuyi n Lawsonn's bday. Then we went to the convention centre after dat for rehearsals for the pageant, dancers n SCO performance. By then, i was really super shag n hungry, hasnt eaten ath for the whole day. Practise wif the dancers for quite sum time on a empty stomach...The dancers really worked hard. I noe how tired they r after a day of running ard the school..But they still cooperate wif us. They rox!! The rehearsal was gd, they really dance well, though the hip hoppers were quite nervous on stage. I love our performance man!!Me n bren danced once on the stage wif them.haha. Then after all the pageant n SCO performance rehearsals, we had debrief, again.
The last day!!The BIG day for all of us!!There were so many hustle n bustle. Our dancers n pageant n SCs n SBs reached early to practise n stuff. Helped them do make-up, find clothes bla bla bla....Helped Claire perm hair n clipped her eyelashes n putting on mascara n glitter n stuff, help ballroom gals tie luo han hairstyle n did eye make-up..Huimin, jas, xiuyu n etc helped to do make-up for Claire.She is so pretty.Bren helped Arthur style his hair n he's so proud of it.lol.Yup indeed, Arthur look smarter. The dancers in-charge helped to spur the dancers and practice wif them. Everyone was so busy wif this n that...i've no time to even take a breather. I was suddenly called into the hall to join all the others halfway thru helping the dancers put make up. The atmosphere was so high man!!! But i was busy fiddling wif the cheer booklet. Some wasn;t in order...quite stressed up man.hhaa. But our cheers r well done! Thanks to all SBs n SCs who meet the freshies 1 hr early to learn the cheer tgt. We had performance by all the OG grps, MC, SCOs n Lecturers. Our SCO performance is so impromptu la..haha.. All the OG performance were so good man! n the performance by *Fanatical Masquerade* was the best one ever!!Ballroom n abstract was PERFECT!!n i can really c the remarkable improvements by the hip hoppers.They were so GREAT!!Oh dear!!Got standard one leh!hahas.Luckily we caught in on video! Then there was the bA tribute...presentation on the life of the SCO family n stuff..really touching....i didn't cry.. i was smiling all the way as the 3 of us hugged tgt while watching...One year of life as a SCO in the BA family.We did so many things tgt...SC recruitment, BA Zest, BA Rock n roll, SC outing, MSA camp, Open house etc..We've worked tgt for so long..frm strangers to frens to a family!!I will miss all the times we had..
Then we had the voting sessions for pageant n lastly the prize giving ceremony. Claire won the 1st runner-up, n Arthur won the 2nd runner-up!!!Wonderful!!!!We r proud of them man =). FM Pageant ROCKS! The exciting moment came when the emcees announced the BEST something award. There were best cheer, performance, id, deco, mascot, banner, most spontaneous n of coz best OG! nnnnn....*drum roll*.....the BEST OG goes to..............*FANATICAL MASQUERADE* !!!WWWWWOOOOt. It is not a dream!!I was assured by many pple!! We really won! Our our efforts really paid off. The 3 of us just hugged together...jero cried..he's a cry baby man...I've had the image of us winning be4, i thought i wld cry...but surprisingly, i didn't!!!I just keep smiling n smiling...Too happy..It's amazing..i thought getting the BEST OG is just a dream..but it became a dream come true!!I really have to thank everybody frm FM!!N oso GOD!!Me n bren just keep prayin n prayin when they annouced the awards one by one!!PRayer wif fasting really works..The 3 of us fasted for bAoc...It is a really impt thing to us...Its not the winning part that is impt, its the BOND that is even more important! FM will be one super bonded family.. I can really c the SCS n SBs doing a gd job bonding wif the freshiex..KUDOS!! U shall reap wat u sow, FM really REAPED!!All the time n efforts n money we sowed into bAoc has not gone down the drain...We've not only won the BEST OG, we've won a FAMILY n FRENSHIP!!!!!=))....Had phototaking sessions after dat..N after dat is the time whereby i get really emo....im sad that bAoc has officially ended..life wld never be the same again...those days we had in blk 72-03-03 n our bunk n in school will oways be in my heart...im afraid that things wld get so different when sch reopen..i will really miss FM n everything like mad...I didn't cry over victory, but over the fear of losing everything.....am so sorry that i nv share our victory wif the pple who were still outside convention taking tons of pics etc but instead walk alone..i just nd a quiet corner to let my heart out...yup..Everything has to come to an ending, this we cant deny...but...how sad...though the preparation period is really TIRING, i really dun mind!! Those times spent wif jero n bren n all the scs meant much more..I just pray to GOD that the bond will nv cease...=))....especially wif my darling partners...We are ONE WHOLE!
21st is FOC!so shag to go to sch...haha..We were the most colorful sch..We were competing wif other schs like ECE, BE etc in games n stuff..The freshies were all so HIGH!!!There were continuous cheering..so tired la..my energy havent recover frm bAoc..haha..n BA won the champion!!!haha..the lectures n principal was so happy!Wow, i finally c our principal, his a guy, a chinese..haha..i thought our principal is an indian..ttooot!Had dinner wif the SCOs at fish&co after we return our mascot costumes...my 1st time dere..lol..big portion they served man..had fun..wif all the lame jokes n teasing ard..now then i really there r so many scandals everywhere..lol..then the 3 of us headed to suntec arcade..haha..dat can be our hangout man..but this time rd we didn't play much..no $$$...n then we chilled out at Esplanade there...by then we were extremely drained..keep falling asleep...reached hm at 2/3 +..zzZzzz...everything has ended..shld i smile/ cry??
