April and May 08 updates [plus Food talk!]

20th April 08: 11th Month Anniversary
Its our Monthly Anniversary again. This month is the 11th month (:
Our monthy routine is to have some nice food in some special restaurant on big days like this!
This month; we went to "Eden Cafe" located at Club Street.
[Exterior of Eden Cafe- looks really quaint]
[Many reviews]
[Cozy corner filled with Bearsss!!][Credits to ladyironchef.com for the pics and descriptions]

Eden Cafe is a quaint flower inspired cafe acknowledged for its delicate florals cuisines to bring a whole new dining experience for the customers’ palate. there's even a small alfresco seating area that seats two to four people, beside the owner Mr Ng's small herb garden
[Really cozy and relaxing ambience]
[We got to sit at the beary cornet!haha]
[Dear with the "Cult" Bear.haha]
Expect to find floral creations such as rose petal salad, orchid sauceless pasta and even apple osmanthus crumble. Edible flowers are known to have health benefits. Marigolds, for instance, calm the body and aid relaxation, while violets improve eyesight and soothe throat-related ailments.

[I ordered Chili Crab Pasta-$16.90]- i like it alot!its tasty!
[ Dear's Honey Mustard Chicken-$14.90]- not that good as mine; in my opinion.

[Hibiscus Soft Cheesecake ($6.90) -Spread with a paste made from hibiscus flowers, this dessert is said to improve metabolism, detoxify the body and relieve water retention]- we love it!the portion is big too.

[Eden Cafe has a vast selection of 100 teas. Their current selection of teas serve a variety of purposes, such as slimming, relaxing and uplifting, and are priced from $6 for classic tea to $18 for super premium tea. ]

[We had fusion tea for cooling purposes- $9] - taste just like chrysanthemum.haha.
[Cosy cosy]
[After our dinner. Took lotsa nice pics at the nice Club Street]
[Bought these as we were passing by Chinatown- Nostalgic huh!?]

20th May 08: 1 Year Anniversary
This is our super big day! 1 year of ups and downs and so much love. This 1 year is gonna spark off more and more yearly anniversaries for us (: On this special day; we decided to have a dinner buffet at "Carousel" located at Royal Plaza Hotel after lotsa raves on some forums! We were so excited and hungry that we only took a few pics of the food and ourselves. Thus some pics here were taken from some website (:

Carousel exudes an aura of excitement and delight that an evening of superb cuisine, fine wine, and elegant surroundings can provide. Be mesmerized by the enormous spread of seafood and expect succulent and tender flesh. Savour the rotisserie where the allure of delicious aromas, the sizzle and the dancing flames are enough to whet anyone’s appetite. Others include the sushi bar with artfully arranged sushi and sashimi, juice bar with exciting concoctions of flavours, bakery for take away, the Asian and Mediterranean buffet counters, the salad bar and the indulgent dessert counter for a sweet ending to the perfect meal.
[Their seafood are really fresh; the oysters especially! One word: Succulent!]- the table of people next to us kept pilling on the oysters and sashimi. they are endless!
[ills andMeats section] [Salad Bar]
[Dim sum!] [Japanese counter]
[The one item which we love most is the Crab Tang Hoon!]- it is really really tasty and addictive! I had 2 servings of this itself on top of the many other food selections!
[The dessert section really "WOW" me over. They had lotsa tempting sweet delights.]-I took one of everything even though we were already very full by then; really cant resist them. I absolutely love the creme brulee!!!!!!!!![So cute and perfect serving size!]- top class desserts!
[Yummy mini cheesecakes!!] [Theres a Chocolate Fountain for fondue!!]
[Us- dressed up for the occasion. hee]

[@ Royal Plaza Hotel Lobby]- so very full by then. Burps! Overall; it was a really nice experience @ Carousel. Firstly we were impressed by the service of the waiters. They were really efficient in clearing our plates and replacing our utensils as the plates pile up easily! And there were heaps of food selections but it can be better (: If u love fresh seafoods(with no additional flavorings), sashimis and desserts- Carousel is definitely a place u would love. Price per pax is about $47 for dinner. In my opinion; for hotel buffet spread- i wun patronize more than once as i wanna try out more hotel buffets!! The next one i would love to go to will be "Ellenborough Market Cafe" at Swisshotel! - 2 year anniversary maybe? (:
